Anne is recognised as an international industry leader with deep expertise in operational management of high volume financial transactions in highly regulated and multi jurisdictional industries, as a business strategist employing strong tactical and commercial acumen and a high level of personal integrity.

She offers 25 years executive and board level experience across the Asia-Pacific region with particular expertise in global banking, securities trading and superannuation. Experience includes organisational leadership as Non-Executive Director and Board Chair of start-ups, government and SME’s providing leadership and guidance, bringing expertise in operations, risk management, operating in multiple regulatory environments, global client management and project delivery.

Career History

Anne's career reflects her planning, opportunistic approach and willingness to have a go bringing her skills and competencies to ensure success.

Over more than 40 years, Anne progressed from secondary teaching of maths and science, store management at Target, research analyst through the 1987 crash and as a manager of high volume processes and people in superannuation during the Jeff Kennett restructuring of Victoria to finally in investment banking with UBS and Credit Suisse in Australia and Asia.

Recognised for her cool and low stressed style, as a manager of people and a reputation of delivery of projects, on time and on budget with minimal client impact.

Leadership Highlights

Successful implementation of 3 global systems (each project budget greater than US$50 mil) in APAC within budget, on time and with no client impact.

Establishment of operational capacity to support new security businesses in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines.

Managed conversion for China securities business acquired by UBS to that of an investment bank and private bank. At the time this was the first such an acquisition that had been approved in China. This involved implementation of global policies and procedures, putting in place appropriate local and expatriate staff, global and local systems and ensuring successful operating model to support the conversion of more than 11 licenses.

Reduced unfunded liability in state superannuation fund through review of total and temporary disability insurance recipients. Forecast to save $17.3mil in year 1, up to $500mil by year 10, reducing the unfunded liability by $1.5billion.

Established well-constructed Board to provide support, networks and governance to a start-up company with recognised and experienced members.
