An expert in the transformation and turnaround of airlines, Karam was the Chief Executive Officer of Royal Brunei Airlines, the national flag carrier airline for Brunei Darussalam
Previously, he was responsible for network planning at Virgin Australia and led strategic planning at Fiji Airways.
Karam also has considerable experience in tourism development in the South Pacific region.
Today he operates as an aviation consultant and provides mentoring to leaders in the airline industry.

David’s passion has always been helping CEOs and their leadership teams apply a growth mindset to build sustainable value. Prior to moving to Australia, David held c-suite roles at Saab Automobile, WorldPay, Celsa Steel, Vion Food Group, DryDocks World and Foster Wheeler. He played a pivotal interim role in the oft cited turnaround of Howden Joinery Group, where he was the Group Financial Controller. A professional civil engineer who subsequently qualified as a Chartered Accountant, David learned from working with industry’s most respected leaders. Early in his career the Institute For Turnaround named him their "rising star" and his Chief Restructuring Officer roles earned the respect of Europe's most demanding institutional banking teams. David is an IECL accredited organisational coach, has formal training in facilitation and is Dare to Lead trained.
