Career History
Martin is a graduate of Massey University in New Zealand. After holding several CFO roles, Martin relocated to the UK and undertook a number of high-profile advisory consulting projects for PwC, London International Financial Futures Exchange (LIFFE), BMW and Pirelli Japan.
In 2000 Martin moved to Australia and transitioned to Sales & Marketing Director roles within IT Services. Over the next 10 years Martin was pivotal in building an Australian Business Applications company into a global market leader.
Sable37, a new business Applications venture, was established in 2011 with Martin as co-owner and CEO. Sable37 grew organically to more than 250 staff and was a market leader in Cloud based solutions. This highly sought after company was acquired by DXC, a global IT company, in 2018.
Leadership Highlights
Organically built and led a world class Systems Integrator and software development services company focused on Cloud.
Rescued a multi-million dollar global systems project with Kathmandu. Developed IP during this project that was re-purposed for Michael Hill and Breville.
Through effective mediation and negotiation skills worked to a successful resolution of contractual issues with a large Australia publicly listed company.
Lead the back office implementation for PwC UK
Established and led software development teams working in partnership with industries including Retail, Logistics, Aged Care and Mining. Successfully sold software to Microsoft.
Sold and implemented operational software developed in Australia to the 5th largest home builder in the world, K B Homes.
Led mergers and acquisitions. Successfully combined two large services businesses with 700 staff for DXC. Achieved a 95% retention rate.
