Geoff has performed multiple executive roles as the CIO, Chief Digital Officer or Chief Transformation officer. These roles with experience spanning across multiple industries including retail, banking and finance, health, oil and gas, utilities and not for profit. Currently the VP for Business Value Services across ASIA Pacific at MuleSoft (Salesforce) he was recently CIO at MOVE Bank and previously, at People’s Choice Credit Union where as the Chief Digital and Technology Officer, he was responsible for a major investment in enterprise wide digital transformation to completely transform the business capability and establish a new business and technology operating model with sustainable, agile and flexibility at the core.
As part of his global IT leadership and network Geoff has worked on the vendor and consulting side with experience in delivery and worked as part of the enterprise software industry for leading players like SAP, Oracle and Salesforce. Geoff has held board and advisory roles in multiple start-ups and FinTech’s. Geoff has also participated on various NFP and industry IT Advisory boards including the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
Operating as the Technology executive accountable to boards for digital technology decision making and business value from change Geoff is passionate about the role of the IT team in digital transformation as he believes it is key to future competitive benefit for organisations constrained by technology debt, the delivery gap and legacy technology platforms.
Many organisational leadership highlights such as leading Westpac IT Change program after the failure of CS90 and taking on the people leadership and cultural change program for the IT team.
In NAB led the Next Gen technology strategy and $1B plus technology investment approved at Board and in parallel, the Technology strategy for UBank which for 10 years was the leading online only banking channel in Australia.
At Origin Energy as CIO integrated the IT Delivery model across the Oil and Gas business and the Utilities business.
Implementation of the first IT Strategy and by restructuring the delivery model at Starlight Children’s Foundation – freeing up much investment.
Leading diversity metrics and in particular showing the way with FITT – Females in IT advocating for equal pay and targets for 50% representation in the IT Workforce.
